Lean Cuisine Flatbread Melts Review

Submitted by Amy on Saturday, 30 August 2008No Comment

I have to give Lean Cuisine credit for having some of the most creative ideas in TV dinners. They offer a much greater variety than some of the other brands and they really try to keep up with trends. First, it was the paninis (which actually aren’t that bad!). One of the latest additions to their “Casual Eating” line are the Flatbread Melts.

The Chicken Ranch Club is actually very tasty (for a TV dinner). With chicken, tomato, bacon, cheddar and mozzarella cheese in a ranch sauce, it was better than average. I also tried the Chophouse Steak, which smelled horrible and tasted just odd. My coworkers said “Eww, what is that smell!?!” which is never a good sign. It contains beef steak, onions, red peppers, blue cheese crumbles, and a mild blue cheese ranch sauce, which sounds good on the box but just comes out as tangy. And not in a good way. And what is up with Lean Cuisine putting ranch sauce on EVERYTHING! I guess it’s because ranch dressing hides a multitude of sins.

The verdict: The Chicken Ranch Club is HOT. The Chophouse Steak is a definite NOT!
